Safety, Consent & Privacy

Personal care means someone helps you with things you would normally do alone. That only works if the standards are clear before anyone arrives. These are ours.

Consent, at every step

Nothing happens without you agreeing to it first. Before a visit we confirm exactly which services you have booked. During the visit, your care professional tells you what they are about to do before they do it.

You can stop at any point, for any reason, without explaining yourself. Say stop and everything stops. You will not be charged for services that were not performed.

Draping

Full draping is maintained throughout every visit. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, and it is covered again as soon as that part of the service is finished.

Who comes to you

• You may state a preference for the gender of your care professional when you book — this is intimate work, and that choice is yours to make. We honour what you ask for whenever we can. We cannot guarantee it, and we will never send someone you did not ask for without telling you first.
• You are told who is coming before they arrive.
• You are welcome to have another person present for any visit.
• Vehicles and supplies arrive unmarked. Nothing identifies the service to a neighbour.

Hygiene and sanitation

• Gloves are worn for all hands-on care and changed between tasks.
• Single-use items are used once and disposed of in front of you.
• Towels and linens are laundered between every client, never reused.
• Clippers and reusable tools are cleaned and disinfected between clients.
• Products are opened in front of you where practical.

What we do not do

Menswood provides non-medical personal care assistance. We do not diagnose, we do not treat medical conditions, we do not cut toenails or treat foot conditions, we do not administer medication, and we do not provide nursing care. If something looks like it needs medical attention, we will tell you and suggest you speak to a clinician.

Your information

We collect only what is needed to arrange and prepare for your visit. It is never sold and never shared. Photographs, if you send them, are stored privately and are visible only to Menswood. You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you at any time — by this form or by emailing support@menswood.com. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Where the visit happens

Most visits take place in the client's own home. If you would rather it not happen at your address, appointments are available at a private Sacramento location — one client at a time, no waiting room, no other clients present. The address is provided when your appointment is confirmed. See both options.
