A few weeks after an operation, being washed properly is one of the things men miss most and ask for least. This page is the plain version of what a bathing service can do while you are mending, and — more importantly — what it will not do.
This is not medical care. Menswood provides non-medical personal care assistance to adults aged 18 and over. We do not diagnose, we do not treat medical conditions, we do not administer medication and we do not provide nursing care. Nothing on this page is medical advice, and nothing here should be used in place of what your surgeon, nurse or doctor has told you.
The full list, which is the same on every kind of visit, is on the Safety, Consent & Privacy page.
If there is any question at all about whether you should be bathing, or about an area that has to stay dry, ask your surgeon or your nurse before you book, not us. Then tell us plainly what they said — where to keep clear of, and what you have been told to avoid — and we will work to it exactly. A man who says "not below the left knee, at all" has given us everything we need, and we will not ask him a single question about why.
A visit starts at $95 for the Foam Bath — 45 minutes to an hour. That is the standard price; when a sale is running, the lower price is what is charged. All three baths are on the home page. Extra time can be added when you book — $55 for thirty minutes, $95 for an hour — and after an operation that is often the sensible thing to do, because nothing should be hurried.
There is no contract, no minimum number of hours, no care plan and no assessment visit. One visit is one visit. Core Sacramento carries no travel charge; surrounding areas carry a travel fee, shown to you before you book.
No. Menswood provides non-medical personal care assistance to adults aged 18 and over. We do not diagnose, we do not treat medical conditions, we do not administer medication and we do not provide nursing care. Nothing on this page is medical advice and nothing here should be used in place of what your surgeon, nurse or doctor has told you.
We will not wash over a dressing or a wound, and we will not touch, remove, replace or look under one. What we will do is keep clear of it. Tell us where the area is when you book, and that part of you is simply not included in the visit.
No. That is nursing care and Menswood does not provide it. If a dressing needs changing, needs looking at, or has come loose, that is a job for a clinician.
That is a question for your surgeon, your nurse or your doctor, and it is not one we will answer. We will follow what you tell us you have been told. We will never advise you about it, and we will not make a judgement about whether you are ready.
Wash the rest of you, properly, while you sit still. Hair, back, shoulders, arms, legs, feet, between the toes, and below the waist — whatever a sling, a brace or a sore shoulder has put out of reach. Then dry you and moisturize. A shower chair and non-slip matting are brought to you if you need them, and you do not have to stand at any point.
We will say so, we will stop, and we will suggest you speak to a clinician. We will not examine it and we will not offer an opinion about what it is.
If you would rather describe the situation before booking, call or text (916) 838-6031. We will tell you honestly whether this is a visit we should take.
